It’s time to give volunteers the helping hand they deserve

Nominations for the 2012 NRMA Helping People Awards® are now open.

Every year across NSW and ACT, hardworking volunteers lend their helping hands to assist charities in their community. The NRMA Helping People Awards recognise the tireless contribution these people make.

We’ll be honouring four volunteers in 2012 and this is your chance to nominate the people you think most deserving of an award. Each winner will receive a $5,000 donation to the charity they volunteer for, plus a well deserved Australian holiday for two.

Nominations close Friday 20 July 2012 and winners will be announced in September. Click on the orange button below to make your nomination now.

Categories Prizes 
Young Volunteer Award (Age 16-24) Experience a 7 night cruise from Brisbane around Queensland’s northern beaches and Great Barrier Reef + flights.
Community Volunteer Award (Age 25-59)  Enjoy a $1000 accommodation voucher to spend at one or more of our 5 NRMA Holiday Parks in NSW & QLD, plus a $500 fuel voucher.
Conservation Volunteer Award (Age 16+) Explore Darwin and Kakadu with a 5 night stay at the Travelodge Mirambeena Resort Darwin + flights + a tour of Kakadu.
Senior Volunteer Award (60+ years old) Discover all that Melbourne has to offer with 5 nights at the Travelodge Southbank Melbourne Hotel + flights + tickets to a theatre show.
  

Nominees do not have to be NRMA Members, but must volunteer for a registered charity or organisation with Deductible Gift Recipient status (click here for information about DGR status).
