Starlight Children's Foundation

Since 1988, Starlight has been providing services Australia-wide to help seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families.

NRMA is proud to support a range of Starlight Programs, which are delivered both in and out of hospital, providing positive distraction to children in their time of need.

Living with illness or injury can cause enormous strain in the lives of children and their families. The pain, loneliness and isolation that sick children feel dominates their lives, and they often miss out on normal experiences that healthy children take for granted. Physical recovery is only part of the solution. Starlight delivers programs designed to make children happy and lift their spirits when they need it most.

NRMA is supporting Starlight through the Starlight Wishgranting Program.

Starlight Wishgranting

A Starlight Wish is like a dream come true for a seriously ill child. Sharing a special, once-in-a-lifetime wish brings a family together, and is an experience that stays with them forever. Starlight aims to grant more wishes each year for children with serious and chronic illness.

A Starlight Wish provides meaningful experiences, has life impacting benefits and is an opportunity to share in a dream come true. A Starlight Wish gives the whole family a break from the stress of their child's illness. Fulfilled wishes provide lasting memories for the child, and it’s rare that a day goes by without the family mentioning their special experience.

NRMA also provides support through Starlight Escapes at NRMA Holiday Parks, Starlight Day, fundraising and staff volunteering. For more information or to make a donation visit the Starlight Children's Foundation.

There are now more reasons to smile. While Roadside Assistance remains at our heart, NRMA Membership now means so much more.
