Conservation Volunteers Australia

sample

Conservation Volunteers Australia is the leading practical conservation organisation in Australia. They attract and manage an annual force of 10,000 volunteers each year in projects across the country, helping to protect and rebuild our precious landscapes.

Wild Futures

NRMA is supporting the Wild Futures Program in NSW, helping to create habitat for the threatened Superb Parrot.

The 5-year goal of the program is to rebuild a large area of habitat to maintain a population of Superb Parrots in the Koorawatha area, near Cowra.

Most recently, NRMA sent a team of staff volunteers to the area where they worked over three days to carry out a range of conservation activities and painting and renovating the homestead on the property which houses volunteers to the area.

In 2011, we are planning another trip to Cowra to continue our work as well as activities in the greater Sydney and Wollongong areas with our staff volunteers.
