NRMA Helps The Haven Go Live

Author: NRMADate: 19 June 2008

Staff and students at The Haven Education Centre in Terrigal are thrilled with the computers donated by the NRMA Motoring & Services Gosford Call Centre team. Just a couple of weeks after their computers were stolen during a break in, they are once again back at their desks.

"The NRMA is committed to supporting the ongoing work at The Haven Education Centre.

We have just presented four desktop PCs and two laptops to assist them with their education programs and to replace the computers that were stolen recently," NRMA Director Kyle Loades said today.

"The NRMA Motoring & Services Gosford Call Centre team have an ongoing relationship with The Haven Education Centre. We believe the work the Centre does with Central Coast students who are having extreme difficulties in coping with mainstream education is invaluable to the students and the greater community.

"More than 50 students have successfully completed the program and have been reintegrated into the local school system.

"The passion and commitment The Haven Education Centre Director Chris Kokegei and his dedicated team direct to their students is nothing short of amazing. We are honoured to be a small part of the great work that takes place at the Centre.

"Our future commitments to The Haven Education Centre include NRMA to the Rescue - a renovation working bee at the Centre, internal NRMA fundraisers and a continuation of our financial support of The Haven Education Centre mini bus."

There are now more reasons to smile. While Roadside Assistance remains at our heart, NRMA Membership now means so much more.
