NRMA Motoring & Services Director Graham Blight is calling on local NRMA Members to come along and "have their say" next week at the Wagga Wagga Local Motorists' Forum.
"We encourage interested NRMA Members to participate in the forum at Charles Sturt University on Friday 4 July at 10:00am," Mr Blight said.
"Members will hear from keynote speakers and have the opportunity to have their own say on regional motoring issues and general NRMA policies.
"Some of the issues expected to be raised by NRMA Wagga Wagga Members include spiralling fuel costs, older drivers, NRMA Safer Driving School, local major road issues and NRMA community grants and sponsorships.
"The NRMA wants to hear from our Members about what they want us to campaign for on their behalf to governments and infrastructure providers.
"We campaigned for regional road upgrades in the lead-up to the 2008 State Budget, including an upgrade of the Olympic Highway and the construction of town bypasses to provide safer, more efficient links for motorists and freight.
"The Hume Highway completion is finally in sight while the Bowning turn-off from the Hume to the Burley Griffin Highway has also been completed.
"Unfortunately for the residents of Wagga Wagga, the State Government delivered nothing for capital improvements to the Olympic or Sturt Highways in the 2008 Budget.
"This is where NRMA Members can make a difference by attending the Local Motorists' Forum next Friday.
"All feedback from the Wagga Wagga Local Motorists' Forum will be compiled and a submission paper will be prepared and delivered to governments and infrastructure providers.
"The NRMA will continue to lobby for road improvements in the Wagga Wagga region."

There are now more reasons to smile. While Roadside Assistance remains at our heart, NRMA Membership now means so much more.
