NRMA Takes Road Safety Message To Bangalow

NRMA Motoring & Services will teach hundreds of people how to survive on the road at the Fatherhood Festival in Bangalow this Sunday 7 September, delivering to families interactive multi-media education about road safety.

NRMA Director Wendy Machin said the NRMA was pleased to attend the town’s fifth Fatherhood Festival and raise awareness of important road safety issues.

"The importance of road, vehicle and driver safety will be highlighted at the festival through interactive crash test videos and a range of online road safety activities," Ms Machin said.

"Visitors can experience crash test videos of a large number of makes and models and take away the latest safety fact sheets and information about alternative fuel.

"Sunday will also be a great opportunity for children to try out NRMA’s interactive road safety game, RuleSmartz 4 Kidz.

"RuleSmartz 4 Kidz is an NRMA initiative to help kids aged between 7-11 learn about the do's and don'ts of road rules in a fun and entertaining way."

The NRMA’s Mobile Member Centre was in Bangalow earlier this year reinforcing important road safety messages for families at the town’s annual Billycart Derby.

Ms Machin said the Mobile Member Centre was instrumental in bringing road safety messages to regional NSW.

"A range of NRMA’s travel and lifestyle publications will also be on sale at the festival. Travellers will especially appreciate periodicals such as NRMA’s Caravan & RV magazine which has a wealth of motoring ideas and tips," Ms Machin said.

"NRMA’s participation at events such as the fatherhood Festival in Bangalow would not be possible without the support of its partners in road safety, Volvo Trucks and Subaru."
