NRMA Takes Road Safety Message To Central Coast ; Supports Charity

NRMA Motoring & Services will teach hundreds of people how to survive on the road at the Central Coast Convoy for Kids in Gosford this Sunday 10 August, delivering to residents interactive multi-media education about road safety.

The NRMA’s travelling road safety education centre will be a part of a 320-strong convoy of local trucks from Wyong to Gosford for a family fun day to raise money for local charities

NRMA Director Kyle Loades said the NRMA was pleased to support the Central Coast Convoy for Kids and help raise money for this important charity event.

"The importance of road, vehicle and driver safety will be highlighted at the Convoy for Kids through interactive crash test videos and a range of online road safety activities," Mr Loades said.

"The day is a great opportunity for people to visit the NRMA’s Mobile Member Centre for some vital motoring safety tips and advice on how to travel safely with children.

"Visitors can experience crash test videos of a large number of makes and models and take away the latest safety fact sheets and information about alternative fuel."

This year the Central Coast Convoy for Kids is raising funds to aid the Weeroona Association to help disabled children and the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Group to support grandparents who have suddenly become families with children again.

Mr Loades said the NRMA’s continued support of the Central Coast Convoy for Kids was in line with NRMA’s commitment to helping the local community.

"Last year Central Coast Convoy for Kids raised more than $40,000 for local charities in need," Mr Loades said.

"NRMA’s participation at events such as the Central Coast Convoy for Kids would not be possible without the support of its partners in road safety, Volvo Trucks and Subaru."
