Free Antarctica Expedition Travel Presentations

NRMA Travel has just confirmed it will offer three unique expeditions to Antarctica departing January and February 2010.

Andrew Prossin, one of the world's most experienced polar guides, will host the free presentations and the expeditions. Mr Prossin has been a leader in the Antarctica expedition cruise industry for over a decade.

Andrew's expeditions focus on safety, adventure, humour and spontaneity, making him the first choice as NRMA Travel's 2010 Antarctica expedition leader.

Also joining Andrew at the Sydney presentations and on tour will be Ray McMahon, Australia's only polar medalist - awarded by Queen Elizabeth II - for services to Antarctic exploration.

People interested in Andrew and Ray's polar experiences and their vision for future expeditions can attend one of two free presentations on Thursday 25 June at NRMA Travel's Wynyard headquarters. Listening to these men will ignite an overwhelming desire to visit Antarctica sooner rather than later, before climate change makes irreversible changes to the region.

NRMA Travel is offering three unique expeditions during the January/February 2010 expedition season.

Departure dates and tour options:

  • 26 Jan - 10 nights Antarctic Peninsula Adventure
  • 3 Feb - 18 nights Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula
  • 23 Feb - 12 nights South Orkney Antarctic Odyssey
    NRMA Travel offers fully escorted tours from Sydney. The Antarctic Expedition Tours include flights, pre and post expedition accommodation and touring, wet weather gear hire, welcome dinner and ice camping (subject to weather conditions). Prices start from $12,500 per person twin share.

Early bird deal: Book a place on any of the Antarctica expeditions before 30 June and save $600 per person.
