Motorists Have An Eye On Hot OPSM Offer

NRMA Senior Policy Adviser Anne Morphett said the Easter holiday was a busy time on roads and all motorists should make it a top priority to ensure their current eyewear is up to the job.

"Clear vision is essential for road safety and motorists need to be wearing the correct prescription glasses or contacts and clean glasses free from scratches," Ms Morphett said.

"If you can't see properly, you can't drive safely.

"Your glasses are like a windscreen - a dirty or chipped windscreen would make driving unpleasant and possibly unsafe.

"Families departing for their Easter vacation or road trip should clean the car windscreen both inside and out and replace it if it is badly chipped or scratched.

"Eyewear, windscreens, rear vision mirrors and windows should all be clean and chip free to reduce the likelihood of crashes."
