NRMA Byron Service Station Celebrates 40 Great Years

NRMA Motoring & Services' President and local Director Wendy Machin today congratulated the NRMA Byron Bay Country Service Centre proprietors Warren and Dennise Simmons for 40 years of outstanding service to the community.

Ms Machin said Warren and Dennise Simmons had been running the NRMA in Byron Bay since 1975 and had been prominent in the Byron Bay business community for four decades.

"Warren and Dennise have run the Byron Service Station for the past 40 years and been at the helm of the NRMA Country Service Centre for the past 35.

"The NRMA in Byron Bay is well known for its friendly customer service and regular support of local community initiatives and groups.

"Earlier this year Brunswick Valley Volunteer Rescue was the beneficiary of NRMA Byron Bay's community support with a $2,500 cheque to maintain its road, sea and rescue operation.

"Warren and Dennise Simmons of NRMA Byron Bay are to be congratulated for not only providing excellent customer service but for becoming an integral part of the Byron Bay community.

"Warren and Dennise care - they care about NRMA's values, they care about the people of Byron Bay and they care about helping the community grow.

"Over the past year NRMA road service in Byron Bay rescued 8,711 stranded motorists.

"985 motorists required a tow service to be arranged to get their vehicles repaired."

Byron Service Station offers the following services: Warren Simmons Mechanical, Smash Repairs, Panel Beating, Towing, Car Hire and, NRMA Roadside Assistance and Member Services.

Ms Machin said Byron Bay road service had travelled more than 83,631 kilometres in the past year to help motorists in need.

"It gives me great pleasure to know that the Byron Bay community is in such good hands and I wish Warren and Dennise the very best for the next 40 years," Ms Machin said.
