Harrington Is 2009 NRMA Country Road Service Provider Of The Year Runner-Up

Harrington Country Service Centre (CSC) has been named runner-up Country Road Service Provider of the Year at NRMA Motoring & Services' annual Country Service Centre Conference.

NRMA Group CEO Tony Stuart said staff at Harrington CSC exemplified the community spirit of the NRMA and Harrington CSC was a valuable member of the NRMA Country Service Centre network.

"The NRMA is delighted to recognise Harrington CSC proprietors Vince and Janella Leotta's high quality of work with this award," Mr Stuart said.

In 2009, NRMA Country Service Centres (CSCs) have helped almost 80,000 stranded motorists in the country area.

Mr Stuart said that without NRMA CSCs of Harrington's calibre, this vital and essential service to the people in those communities would not be possible.

"I would like to congratulate and thank the other two finalists - Oberon and Casino - for their outstanding commitment to quality service," Mr Stuart said.

Nominations for Country Road Service Provider of the Year came from all over country NSW via letters of praise from customers and regional managers commenting on CSCs' consistently excellent service.

Local Regional Business Manager Heidi Novosell said she nominated Harrington for the Country Road Service Provider of the Year because of its excellent standard of road service in the Harrington area.

"Vince and Janella not only service Members and customers - they are community minded and raise money for the Cancer Council and local community groups," Ms Novosell said.

"Harrington CSC completed around 500 road service jobs in the past 12 months."

Delegates from more than 200 CSCs throughout NSW and the ACT attended the annual conference and awards night, held this year on the Gold Coast.
