Trusted NRMA Approved Repairer Network Now In Tea Gardens

The NRMA Motoring & Services Approved Repairer Network has expanded into Tea Gardens - providing the local community with a trusted and certified car servicing and repair centre.

NRMA President and local Director Wendy Machin said Tea Gardens Auto Electrical & Mechanics - the latest of more than 250 statewide NRMA Approver Repairers - had successfully passed the Approved Repairer criteria and suitability assessment.

“Having an NRMA Approved Repairer in the local community is of benefit to NRMA Members as they can now take their vehicle to a trusted repairer, and as an added bonus, receive a 10 per cent discount on labour costs," Ms Machin said.

"Drivers can have their car serviced locally and still comply with the manufacturer's warranty - an area where the NRMA has previously found some confusion exists.

"Last year, an NRMA online survey found that 31 per cent of respondents were unaware that while their car was under warranty, it was not compulsory for it to be serviced at a dealership.

"If the mechanic is an authorised service provider, uses original manufacturer parts and the servicing is recorded in the log book then the car warranty remains valid."

Ms Machin said the NRMA Approved Repairer Network had been running for almost as long as NRMA itself.

"Early on, Members of the NRMA wanted recommendations for reliable repairers who they could trust to carry out automotive mechanical repairs on their vehicles," Ms Machin said.

"Now there are more than 250 repairers across NSW and ACT that form the NRMA Approved Repairer Network."
