$150,000 In Rebel Sport Gift Cards For Your Sport

Sporting groups, schools and individuals throughout NSW and the ACT will be excited to learn that NRMA Motoring & Services and Rebel Sport have once again teamed up to help them achieve their sporting dreams.

Rugby League legend and NRMA Director Geoff Toovey said NRMA's Everyday Sporting Legends program, launched last year, has been a phenomenal success with many passionate groups and individuals receiving a share in $150,000 worth of Rebel Sport gift cards in 2009.

"Primary and Secondary Schools, community groups and sports teams can all enter for their chance to receive a $10,000 or $2,000 Rebel Sport gift card," Mr Toovey said.

"Sixty individuals who enter also have the chance to receive a $500 voucher.

"You don't have to play a high profile sport like rugby league to enter this program - we also want to support popular sports like water polo, dragon boating, hockey and even lawn bowls.

"Rebel Sport's wide range of equipment caters to many sports and leisure activities so you can be equipped with the latest gear whatever your interest."

Applicants should visit www.nrmalegends.com.au and create their own web page outlining their sporting story and why they deserve to win. The winning teams and individuals will be determined by the skill, creativity and worthiness of their application.

Australian Olympic swimming gold medallist and NRMA Director Dawn Fraser encouraged people to share their stories and upload photos and/or video footage to www.nrmalegends.com.au.

"Friday 5 November is the closing date, so whether you are a community rowing team or a budding ice skater get cracking and get your dream uploaded," Ms Fraser said.

"The team or individual who can gather the most supporters will win a $1,000 sports pack."

To enter you will also need to submit a NRMA Motoring & Services or Free2Go Membership number with your entry.
