NRMA Kempsey and NRMA Batteries today donated $500 each to Kempsey West Rotary, Ride4aCure and Crescent Head/Kempsey, Hat Head and South West Rocks Surf Life Saving Clubs.
NRMA Batteries conducts four NRMA country battery sale promotions throughout the year whereby $20,000 is donated to eight communities in regional NSW.
For every battery sold over the target, each service provider received an entry into a state-wide draw to win $2,500 towards a community initiative. NRMA Kempsey road service provider Kempstar Nissan was last month’s lucky winner.
Kempsey West Rotary will use the funds to help pay for a young local man’s ongoing medical expenses while the Ride4aCure Hannah Rose Melanoma Research Fund will also be the beneficiary of $500.
The three local Surf Life Saving Clubs will use the funds to purchase and maintain valuable life saving equipment.
NRMA President Wendy Machin said it was fantastic that NRMA Kempsey and NRMA Batteries supported their local community by donating funds to five important Maclaey Valley organisations.
The NRMA Batteries promotion has been running since 2008 and has provided more than $30,000 in donations to local community groups. The money has gone towards local community initiatives including equipment for special needs children in Casino and Yamba, a swimming pool enclosure at Pambula and medical equipment at Gilgandra Lodge.

There are now more reasons to smile. While Roadside Assistance remains at our heart, NRMA Membership now means so much more.
