Less than two weeks remain for people to nominate a volunteer they know in NSW or the ACT for an NRMA Helping People Award.
NRMA President Wendy Machin said NRMA Helping People Award nominations for volunteers from a charity or not-for-profit organisation would be accepted until Friday 16 July.
"The NRMA Helping People Awards were started in 2005 to remind everyone of the important role volunteers play in the local community," Ms Machin said.
"Communities can't function without volunteers, so if you know a volunteer who deserves some recognition for the help they are giving don't delay, nominate them now.
"The four winners will receive a great Australian getaway for two and a $5,000 donation will be given to the charity they volunteer for.
"The NRMA is proud to honour volunteers through the NRMA Helping People Awards.
"The volunteers we meet are all incredible individuals and the stories we hear can bring tears to your eyes."
