Who we are

A history of looking forward

NRMA Motoring & Services is one of the largest Member-owned mutual organisations in Australia.

With over 2.2 million Members in NSW and the ACT, we offer a wide range of Membership options – in single or joint names, for one or more vehicles.

As well as our renowned roadside service, we focus on delivering better results for our Members by lobbying for better roads, fairer licensing for older and younger drivers, better value petrol prices, greener motoring and much more.

Our More4Members rewards program gives our Members even more value for money, with on-the-spot discounts for travel, motoring-related products and services and much more. And the longer you stay a Member, the better the benefits become.

We've come a long way since we started in 1920, as a small group committed to creating a service that protected the needs of motorists. Our focus today is to continue to deliver the legendary service you’ve come to expect from NRMA – not just when you need us on the side of the road, but for all your motoring, travel and holiday experiences.

A Member Organisation

NRMA Motoring & Services provides a range of services for our Members and the community.

The annual Members' Review provides an overview of each of the Group's businesses and a summary update of the Group's financial highlights.

The business of the NRMA Group (NRMA) is managed under the direction of the Board of Directors, which is comprised of nine non-executive Directors.

Our service to you does not end at the roadside. The NRMA Group of businesses now offer Members a growing suite of services and benefits in motoring, travel and car rental.

The full financial reports provide detailed financial information on the Group's performance while the Members' Review provides Members with a snapshot of the previous year.

Each year, NRMA holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to report to Members on the Group's performance over the previous financial year.

It wasn't until 1925 that NRMA's legendary road service to begin. In the years that followed the NRMA would branch out into new areas of Member service - maps and guides, insurance, travel advice and an independent rating of hotels and accommodation.
