Small businesses in Bathurst will be given a briefing on NRMA´s ongoing campaign to get better roads for NSW businesses.
NRMA Motoring & Services Head of Businesswise, Warwick Hills, will brief the Bathurst Chamber of Commerce´s cocktail party next Monday on the work NRMA has done to cement more funding out of government for roads.
NRMA BusinessWise provides roadside assistance and member benefits including fuel advice and discounts to more than 21,000 businesses in NSW and the ACT.
?Poor roads, high petrol prices and traffic congestion don´t just affect private motorists ? they severely impact on the capacity of small businesses and farmers to run their business and can ultimately dry up profits,? Mr Hills said.
?The Federal budget handed down earlier this month had some great news for motorists, with more than $370 million for councils to upgrade local roads, $800 million for the Hume highway and $640 million for the Pacific Highway, which includes $320 million from the State Government.
?The funding has come off the back of two years of hard work by NRMA to make road funding a serious political issue ? and we haven´t finished yet.
?We have also maintained the pressure on the Federal Government and oil companies so that businesses in Bathurst and across regional NSW get a fairer deal.?
Mr Hills will also talk about the roadside assistance options available to businesses in western NSW through NRMA´s Businesswise program.
?Running a fleet of vehicles can be a costly and time intensive exercise. That´s why NRMA has tailored a service to help manage your vehicle fleet and keep it on the road all the time,? Mr Hills said.
?Businesswise is not limited to breakdown assistance. During the year, members receive benefits that ensure their businesses are saving time on administration, professional advice and paperwork.?
BusinessWise allows for efficient and effective vehicle management while providing members many extra benefits including:
Reduced roadside assistance costs.
Fuel, windscreen, tyre discounts.
Cheaper NRMA battery replacements
Free legal advice
A subscription to the specialist bi-monthly member´s motoring magazine.
Further vehicle options such as traveler benefits and vehicle and passenger transport are available to businesses for an added annual fee. To enhance NRMA BusinessWise´s professional and efficient service, there is also a network of contacts across Australia.
NRMA´s Mobile Member Centre will be at the Bathurst Chamber of Commerce event highlighting NRMA´s benefits to business customers and support Bathurst Chamber of Commerce, Australian Business Limited and BusinessWise.
