NRMA to help Members of defunct Roadservice

Motorists who were left stranded after MTA Roadservice Australia went into liquidation will receive free roadside assistance until the end of October from NRMA Motoring & Services.

?There could be as many as 20,000 private motorists and fleet owners who have been left without roadside help after MTA Roadservice Australia went into liquidation,? NRMA Motoring & Services CEO Tony Stuart said.

?We are approaching the October long weekend and school holidays and it would be disastrous if these families broke down and had nobody to turn to for assistance.

?That is why I have asked our call centre staff and patrols to ensure that any calls for help from MTA Roadservice Australia members be answered until the end of October ? we don´t want families stranded these holidays.?

NRMA has also offered to honour existing MTA Roadservice Australia contracts if members join the NRMA for 12 months and will waive any sign-on fees.

?If existing MTA Roadservice Australia members still have six months left on their contract and join the NRMA ? we will fulfill their existing six months as well as their 12 month NRMA membership.

?Fleet owners will receive the same deal through NRMA BusinessWise.?

Matt Mills was associated with MTA Roadservice Australia. He was also associated with MTA Assist, which was previously endorsed by the Motor Traders Association.
