NRMA Motoring & Services and Volvo Trucks have joined forces to teach hundreds of Festival goers at Australia´s largest Ute Muster how to survive on country roads.
NRMA´s revamped Mobile Member Centre now has a new look with Volvo Truck´s powerful next generation FH12 520 hp globetrotter and will provide practical lessons in road safety at the Deni Play on the Plains Festival and World Record Ute Muster this Friday 29 and Saturday 30 September 2006.
NRMA Mobile Member Centre Fleet Coordinator, Ben Michael, said the importance of road, vehicle and driver safety would be highlighted at the festival through interactive crash test videos and online road safety activities.
?This is the first time NRMA´s new Mobile Member Centre has attended the Deni Ute Muster and we encourage all visitors to check out the new super truck and the latest NRMA offerings,? Mr Michael said.
?We can´t stress enough the importance of focusing on vital country road safety issues at this popular annual event for the outback community.?
Mr Michael said it was NRMA and Volvo Trucks longstanding partnership in safety that made it possible to provide practical ways of demonstrating road safety to the public.
?The Deni Ute Muster is also an ideal platform for NRMA to create further awareness of its dedicated free youth roadside assistance program for 17 and 18 year olds called Free2Go,? Mr Michael said.
?Free2go is a fantastic offer that provides FREE roadside assistance if you´re 17 or 18 and live in NSW or the ACT.
?Through the Mobile Member Centre, Deniliquin residents and festival-goers will have the opportunity to access the internet to see how NRMA is supporting our members and the community.
?To help combat unnecessary breakdowns in the outback we will also be handing out tyre safety gauges to remind drivers to check this vital but often neglected safety aspect.
?And don´t forget to check out NRMA´s range of travel and lifestyle publications on sale at the Mobile Member Centre.
?The benefits of NRMA´s convenient online Travel Planner will also be demonstrated throughout the show.?
