Both organisations are proud of their partnership with NRMA CareFlight and have been sponsors since 1990.
NRMA Insurance CEO, Mr David Issa, and NRMA Motoring & Services CEO, Mr Tony Stuart, said as road safety advocates they welcomed the news that an outcome had been reached, which would allow NRMA CareFlight to remain involved in aerial rescues for the benefit of NSW motorists.
Today's announcement will see NRMA CareFlight providing doctors for the rescue and retrieval aircraft in Sydney and Orange.
As the leading motor insurer in NSW, Mr Issa said he was particularly pleased that today's announcement would ensure the continuation of the world-first Head Injury Retrieval Trial (HIRT). The medical trial seeks to confirm that providing 'pre-hospital' trauma care at the scene of a crash improves recovery outcomes for people with head injuries.
NRMA Insurance and NRMA Motoring & Services congratulate the team at NRMA CareFlight and wish them the very best as they continue to provide a vital service to the people of NSW.
