Here's where we were in 2007...

Gold Member Roadshows

As part of a NRMA initiative to give back to our members, NRMA has continued its series of Gold and Gold Life Member Roadshows. These Roadshows are designed to get NRMA on the road to engage with our most loyal members face to face across various regional and rural areas. At the Roadshow's, Gold Members have the opportunity to:

• View NRMA's Mobile Member Centre & Vintage Vehicle Display.
• Learn about road safety for seniors.
• NRMA's response to Member demand for Safer Driving training & education.
• Learn about our Travel Planner, Touring, Holiday Parks & discounts.
• Discover how NRMA is working to benefit the community.
• Find out about our shared history.

The Roadshows have been very successful, with over 500 Gold Members at each show. Here's what some Gold Members had to say about the Gold Member Roadshows:

Motorfest Goes Gold - Australia Day 2007

NRMA Motorfest celebrates Australia's love of the automobile with up to 1,000 veteran, vintage and classic cars, commercial & military vehicles and motor cycles on display on Australia Day. It's a great chance to experience the biggest historical display of motor vehicles in the Southern Hemisphere.

NRMA Motorfest is made up of the following components:

• NRMA Plaza, including an exhibition of Membership, Travel & Touring, Batteries & Electrics, Vehicle Inspections, Safer Driving Program, Public Policy and NRMA Road Service history
• NRMA RoadZone - an interactive road safety exhibition
• A1GP World Cup of Motor Sport Exhibition
• NRMA Member Café 
• Volvo Rollover Simulator - designed to identify the importance of wearing a seatbelt in the event that a truck may experience an imminent rollover. 
• Vintage Bus Route

We were delighted to interact with so many of our Gold Members at Motorfest this year and give away copies of the exclusive NRMA Golden Hits CD's and Calendar.

Caravan and Camping Supershow - April, 2007

The Caravan & Camping Supershow was held at Rosehill Racecourse and was another great opportunity to meet face to face with our most loyal Members, our Gold & Gold Life Members.

We brought the Gold Member Shop to the Show, with exclusive Gold Member products and Special Publications available at the discounted Gold Member price. At present, the Gold Member Shop is only online, so this was a rare opportunity for our Gold Members to purchase these products directly. The stand was also very busy, giving away Gold Member Key Rings, and Pens to further show our appreciation of Gold & Gold Life Member's many years of loyalty to NRMA Motoring & Services.

Sydney Retirement and Lifestyle Expo - July, 2007

NRMA's exhibition at the Retirement and Lifestyle Expo held at Rosehill Racecourse proved popular with over 3,000 mostly Gold Members who visited the stand.

The 'NRMA village' theme showcased our products and services, and gave Members the opportunity to learn more about what NRMA has to offer which, for many Members attending, would have been very different from the organisation they joined many years ago.
 
The Expo provided the ideal opportunity to interact with some of our most loyal Members and stay in touch with what's important to them. The NRMA Gold Member Stand gave away thousands of Gold Member Key Rings and Pens. Members were also given the opportunity to go into 1 of 3 daily draws to win a NRMA Motoring & Services pack. A couple of Gold Members were fortunate to win one of these limited prize packs, which was great!

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Harbour Bridge 75 year Birthday Celebrations - March, 2007 NRMA Motoring & Services joined in the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. NRMA patrols featured in the original procession that crossed the Harbour Bridge on its opening day in March 1932 and as part of the anniversary celebrations, NRMA displays included our historical NRMA patrol fleet and memorabilia. Exclusive Gold Member items including Golden Hits CD's and Calendars were given away at the National Trust Festival on Observatory Hill. The Anniversary celebrations were a great opportunity to interact with many of our Gold & Gold Life Members.
