The National Roads and Motorists' Association Limited (NRMA) is
reminding motorists to shop around for petrol as Sydney prices are
already increasing in the lead-up to the Easter weekend.
NRMA CEO, Mr Rob Carter, said by 1pm today petrol prices at many
inner-west outlets along Victoria Road from Parramatta to the City
had increased by around ten cents per litre since this morning."This is frustrating for motorists in the lead-up to Easter. It
clearly follows the pattern NRMA warned motorists about last week
when we advised Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning were the
cheapest times to buy petrol," Mr Carter said.Mr Carter said NRMA expected other stations to follow so it is
important motorists shop around before filling up."While it appears some oil companies have already removed
discounting in the lead up to the long weekend, families planning
to go away should still shop around to make sure they are getting
the best," Mr Carter said.
