NRMA Patrols stop-work meeting cancelled

A meeting between NRMA CEO, Mr Rob Carter, and Automotive, Food, Metals, Engineering, Printing and Kindred Industries Union (AMWU) will proceed following the union's decision to cancel a stop-work meeting tomorrow.
Mr Carter said he was pleased services to members would not be
disrupted and that he would meet with the union next week."NRMA will attempt further conciliation with the AMWU, on a
without prejudice basis, regarding the termination of two managers
and one patrol officer from Newcastle," Mr Carter said."If the matter cannot be settled at that meeting, the Industrial
Relations Commission has allowed both parties to have the matter
listed at short notice for a directions hearing to progress the
matter to arbitration."
