Why visit the MMC

AWARDS

The first stop for the MMC was the Campbelltown Show, the third largest show in NSW, from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd April 2005. At the event the MMC was awarded "Best Commercial Exhibit", proving to be a hit with the 1,000 plus visitors that came through the MMC and a great achievement for NRMA Motoring & Services and our sponsors.

An additional award for "Most Outstanding Exhibit" was won by the MMC in 2006 at the Nowra Show on 10th to 11th February. The Trade Display award is an annual award that is judged on many aspects.

The MMC was awarded the prize in recognition of not only on the exhibit itself but the professional encouragement displayed by staff to the many school children who visited the centre, the offer of free membership to under 21's, and the overall representation of the MMC in the lead up to the event.

MEET THE TEAM

Brad O´Hara
Manager, Mobile Member Centre

Brad has worked for NRMA Motoring and Services for more than 10 years in various roles including Technical Advisory, Research Engineer and Manager of Motoring Information Services.

Brad joined the MMC team as a manager in March 2005, being the key liaison between the NRMA Motoring & Services' MMC and our sponsors.

Christina Denton
Coordinator, Mobile Member Centre

Christina joined NRMA Motoring & Services in 1998 as a Customer Service Representative in the Contact Centre Network. In June 2005 Christina moved into the Coordinator role for the MMC team, providing diverse administrative support.

Christina provides critical support to the MMC team in regard to managing the extensive itinerary. Christina liaises with event organisers and ensures the venue site conditions are suitable for the MMC.

John Ngarotata
Driver, Mobile Member Centre

John joined NRMA Motoring & Services in March 2005 as a professional heavy vehicle driver for the MMC. John is responsible for driving the MMC to scheduled itinerary stops and ensuring it's maintained on a daily basis while it is on the road. He also participates in all day-to-day activities.

He maintains the vehicle and provides information on the safety features of the MMC and the Volvo prime mover.

Ben Michael
Team Support Officer, Mobile Member Centre

Ben provides administration support to the MMC Team while on the road and is a co-driver of the vehicle fleet. He also looks after all the IT requirements when the MMC is out on the road.

Ben is a fully qualified heavy vehicle mechanic, responsible for maintaining the MMC and providing valuable safety information to visitors.

Andrew Mueller
Product Specialist, Mobile Member Centre

Andrew provides specialist Membership advice and manages all MMC marketing collateral with stakeholders. Andrew joined the NRMA Contact Centre team in December 2003 and transferred to his role with the MMC in October 2005.

Sven
Mascot, Mobile Member Centre

Sven is the team mascot, donated by NRMA CareFlight Australia. He assists with increasing the awareness of this invaluable charity.

Named by NRMA Motoring & Services staff through a staff competition, Sven is an engineer bear from the CareFlight range.
