A plan for tourist accident prevention

There is a risk of road accidents occurring due to confusion and inattention when international tourists, who typically usually drive on the right hand side of the road, start driving in Australia. Anecdotal experience would seem to indicate that the worst time for problems is when they initially drive a car here, so I would suggest that car hire companies and/or insurance companies supply each hire car with stickers on the steering wheel printed with the following messages:  LOOK RIGHT (with an arrow pointing to the right) and DRIVE ON THE LEFT (with a diagram of a road going into the distance and an arrow on the left hand side of the road). These expense would not be significant and the potential safety gains should encourage their use.

Should car hire companies print in-car safety reminders for tourist drivers? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
