Range Rover’s Sport is a tantalising proposition in the luxury SUV sector. Attractive styling, rugged off-road ability, impressively appointed interiors and a range of quality engine options ensure it’s a favourite among those wanting to make an impact with their SUV.
Now, Land Rover has announced a range of additions to the already capable SUV making its case even stronger. There’s a new range of exterior colours and interior trim options for the range topping Autobiography model. A new powered tailgate has also been brought into play, standard for Luxury models and up. This new feature enables drivers to set the tailgate opening to their desired lift height.
For the first time, Sport will get the new generation dual view TFT 7in touch screen, as seen in earlier incarnation on Vogue for a few years now. Now Sport passengers can watch a movie or TV while the driver keeps an eye on the Sat Nav. The entertainment package has been further enhanced thanks to the addition of WhiteFire wireless technology.
Outside, changes to the tailgate graphics create a distinctive new look, along with gloss black treatment to the headlight inners and grille surround. The TDV6 model now features a Dark Atlas grille while the Luxury models get the Light Atlas detailing. Supercharged models can be optioned with new 20in wheels.
Interiors for both Autobiography and Limited Edition models have been refreshed for 2012 with a headlining option of Ebony Morzine joining the interior chart. Subtle revisions to colour schemes for the grille and fender vents, bonnet badges and tow eye, as well as body coloured door handles, have been made across the range.
Minor changes sure, but important nonetheless. And they are changes made to an incredible popular vehicle from the Range Rover stable that will only make it better.
