Volvo S80 Recall

Volvo states that there has been an issue with the power steering return lines on some S80s in Europe so they are conducting a check of all 79 vehicles that have been sold in Australia.

“Seventy nine cars in Australia have been affected by this recall,” says Volvo Australia Public Affairs Manager Jaedene Hudson. “The power steering return line has been incorrectly routed on some cars in Europe so we need to check that cars here haven’t been affected. It has the potential to burst if the line is incorrectly routed so it is something that needs to be checked.”

As yet, Volvo hasn’t found a car in Australia with the line incorrectly routed but they have contacted all 79 owners directly to ensure the cars are taken back to a local service centre and inspected. The good news is, that it’s a quick fix if any work does need to be done.
