
The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) gives consumers consistent information on the level of occupant protection provided by vehicles in serious front and side crashes.
The program is supported by Australian and New Zealand automobile clubs, all State government road and transport authorities, the New Zealand Government and the FIA Foundation.
There have been minor changes to the test protocols followed from year to year since ANCAP adopted the European New Car Assessment Program (EuroNCAP) scoring system in 1999. More information on test protocol changes...
