There's always something special happening at Taronga Zoo

Taronga Zoo has the largest native and exotic animal collection in NSW, presented in a natural way that reflects the habitat of the creatures.

The Zoo is renowned for the conservation work it performs. Highlights include the spectacular QBE Free Flight Bird Show located in its harbour side amphitheatre, the amazing Seal Show and the chance to be photographed next to koalas, giraffes and reptiles.

Taronga features the famous Dinosaur Tree, the Wollemi Pine, in its Platypus Pools exhibit, as well as a walk-through rainforest aviary, Sumatran Tigers, rare Snow Leopards, a world-renowned Chimpanzee family, Western Lowland Gorillas and not to be missed, the latest magnificent Asian rainforest experience "ANZ Wild Asia" featuring 630 rainforest animals including five Asian Elephants, Silvery Gibbons and rare rainforest birds. The elephants are part of a conservation breeding program by Australasian zoos to help the species in the wild.

Underwater World

Taronga Western Plains Zoo

Taronga Western Plains is more African safari than zoo

With over 300 hectares of bushland, Taronga Western Plains Zoo is a wild and wonderful place with roaming herds of animals in wide open plains located in Dubbo, right in the heart of New South Wales. Home to over 1,000 animals, the Zoo is widely recognised as Australia's greatest open range Zoo - there are no fences or visual barriers between you and our animals.

The Zoo operates on a 6km one-way circuit system with the animal exhibits and picnic grounds situated along the way. Most exhibits can be seen from the road but there are some that require you to walk a short distance. Transport around the Zoo itself is by car, bike, electric cart or on foot.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Currumbin Sanctuary has a NEW 'Experience Pass'

Included in the one entry price is amazing wildlife encounters, entry to Green Challenge Adventure Parc AND the Wildlife Hospital precinct.

Within the Wildlife Sanctuary, you'll experience the wild Lorikeet feeding, a free flight bird show, totally wild and snakes alive show or feed the kangaroos. See Aboriginal dancers perform in daily show and so much more.

The Green Challenge Adventure Parc is an exhilarating 65 challenge tree-tops rope course and zip lines over four separate courses which takes elements of SAS commando training delivered as safe, fun and exciting treetops ropes courses for children and adults. You'll weave your way through the rainforest canopy. The four courses include a beginners' course, two intermediate courses and the Extreme Green Challenge - an advanced course designed to offer the ultimate challenge for participants.

With high Tarzan swings and a giant flying fox, the Extreme Green Challenge will test the agility and daring of anyone who takes on the course. Each of the Green Challenge courses has been designed for children and adults alike for family fun, fitness and team building (children must reach 160cm from heels to outstretched fingers to enter the Green Challenge and 180 cm for the advanced, Extreme Green Challenge). All necessary equipment and a safety briefing are provided for each participant, ensuring a safe, fun and exhilarating experience.

The new Wildlife Hospital provides the chance to see inside the region's largest veterinary hospital, providing a free community service to care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife as well as vital conservation research.
