Set on 70 secluded acres in the heart of the Hunter Valley, the Hunter Resort offers the complete experience. Surrounded by its own 40 year old vineyards, enjoy the onsite winery, Bluetongue Brewery, horse riding, massage centre, pool, tennis, an excellent restaurant or the separate brewery cafe. There is even a cooking school, wine theatre and wine school.

The 4 star rooms feature timber cathedral ceilings with floor to ceiling glass doors opening onto a private covered balcony giving superb views of the local countryside. What a wonderful way to end the day relaxing with a glass of wine as you wnjoy the sun setting over your own slice of wine country.

Itinerary

Day 1
Depart Sydney Central Station at 10:05am on board the Armidale XPLORER train service. On arrival at Singleton you will be transferred to The Hunter Resort. The afternoon is a good time to organise a tour of the resort winery with a private wine tasting with the resort cellarmaster.

Day 2
After breakfast you will be met by your host from Rover Coaches for a guided tour of some of the finest wineries in the valley including the varied styles of Kevin Sobels Wines, the rustic Robyn Drayton Wines, the unusual range of Golden Grape Estate, Audrey Wilkinson Wines with its spectacular views and the small family- owned Mistletoe Wines (B)

Day 3
The morning is free to enjoy facilities before being transferred to Singleton Railway Station to meet the 1.44pm train back. (B)
