Depart from Adelaide and travel through the Red Centre as you relax in luxury. From the sweeping Adelaide Plains unfolding before your eyes to the majestic Flinders Ranges and desert plains, each new day begins with a fresh perspective of this changing landscape.
Arrive in the tropical city of Darwin and get your bearings as you explore the various sites around the city. Visit the waterfalls and termite mounds at Litchfield National Park and be amazed by the jumping crocs on Adelaide River. Plus be mesmerised as the sun sets on Darwin Harbour on your sunset cruise.

Day 1 - Friday: Adelaide
After making your own way to Adelaide, it’s time to check in to the Stamford Plaza Adelaide, your base for the next two nights.
Day 2 - Saturday: Barossa Valley
As one of Australia’s oldest and best known winemaking regions, the Barossa Valley provides wine lovers with a memorable experience of some 60 wineries. This intimate tour is designed for the more serious wine lovers and provides a brilliant cross section of the finest wines the Barossa Valley has to offer (Wolf Blass, Beer Bros. Wines and Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, Barossa Valley Estates, Langmeil Winery and Chateau Tanunda). (B,L)
Day 3 - Sunday: The Ghan to Alice Springs
Transfer from your accommodation to the Adelaide Parklands Rail Terminal. Your first day on The Ghan begins with a light lunch in the Restaurant Car as you travel north towards Spencer Gulf and Port Augusta. (B,L,D)
Day 4 - Monday: Alice Springs
After arriving in Alice Springs you’ll have time to look around town or enjoy a Whistle Stop Tour (additional cost) before reboarding the train and enjoying the desert scenery as you continue your journey north overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - Tuesday: Katherine and Darwin
In the morning you arrive in Katherine with approximately four hours to look around town or enjoy a spectacular Whistle Stop Tour (additional cost) at Katherine Gorge. Then it’s time to hop back on board for your journey north through the lush, Top End countryside before arriving in Darwin and checking in to SKYCITY Darwin for the next three nights. (B,L)
Day 6 - Wednesday: Sunset Cruise
Today is free for you to enjoy at leisure. This evening join your sunset cruise. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and a delicious light tasting plate of Territory style food as you watch the sun set over Darwin Harbour, a splendid site Territorians are proud to share. Commentary on Darwin's sites and points of interest is a feature of the cruise. (B)
Day 7 – Thursday: Litchfield National Park
Travel along the Arnhem Highway to the Adelaide River and join the one hour Jumping Crocodiles boat cruise. Saltwater Crocodiles roam the waterways of Northern Australia and you will be amazed to see these massive reptiles propelling themselves out of the water for a tasty reward. Next stop Litchfield National Park where you will spend the afternoon exploring. Florence Falls is a spectacular double waterfall set amid monsoon forest. The lookout here provides a panoramic view. Tolmer Falls cascades over two high escarpments into a distant, deep, plunge pool. The bottom of the Falls is home to several colonies of rare Ghost Bats and Orange Horseshoe Bats. Wangi Falls flows into a large swimming hole surrounded by lush monsoonal rainforest. Be sure to bring your bathers to cool off here! From a distance the huge termite mounds look like tombstones. Day 8 - Friday: Darwin
This fantastic holiday package ends when you check out of your hotel after breakfast. (B)
