Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in Darwin & check into your accommodation for the next 4 nights (flights at your own arrangements).

Day 2
Today you will acquaint yourself with the tropical capital and soak up it's relaxing and multicultural lifestyle on the hop on hop off that explores the best Darwin has to offer. This open-air bus operates on a 70 minute route and stops as the Museum and Art Gallery, Fannie Bay Goal, Botanical Gardens, Indo Pacific Marin, Pearling Exhibition, WWII Tunnels and more.

Day 3
Today you’ll visit Litchfield National Park. This waterfall wonderland is less than two hours from Darwin. View Florence Falls from a high vantage point then make your way down the stairs to the plunge pool. Move on to the magnificent water cascades of Tolmer and Wangi Falls where you can take in the scenery or enjoy a leisurely swim. The guided walks through the bush and monsoon vine forest areas are as interesting as they are beautiful. (L)
Fitness: A good level of fitness is required.

Day 4
Travel to Kakadu and visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre before joinin a guided cruise on the Yellow Water billabong, spotting amazing wildlife. After lunch, take a tour to Nourlangie Rock to see well preserved galleries of Aboriginal rock art. Stop at Windows on the Wetlands for a glass of wine and admire the views over the flood plains before returning to Darwin. (L)

Days 5 to 7
Join The Ghan in Gold Service for the only north‐south transcontinental train journey in the world. Complimentary transfers from your Darwin accommodation to the rail terminal are provided. Relax and enjoy the scenery of the tropics and the rugged outback as you travel from north to south. On the third day you arrive in Adelaide.
