Travelling between the Indian and Pacific oceans for over 40 years, this truly is one of the world's great train journeys. Named after the two great oceans it joins and symbolised by the magnificent wedge-tailed eagle that so often soars above it, the mighty Indian Pacific traverses 4,352km (2,698 miles) between Perth and Sydney.

More than three million guests have already enjoyed this epic journey, which spans a continent, travelling the whole distance in three days and three nights.

During the day, the compact twin berth sleeper cabins offer a comfortable three seater lounge, converting to an upper and lower sleeping berth at night. Your journey will be made even more comfortable with service from our hospitality attendant including fresh sheets, bath towels, pillows, doonas and complimentary toiletries. It also has private en suite facilities with a hide-away compact toilet, wash basin and shower.

You will dine in our classically styled Queen Adelaide Restaurant Car. Each meal offers a choice of fine food, carefully prepared for you by onboard chefs. Seasonal menu features mouth-watering dishes such as saltwater barramundi and grilled kangaroo fillet.

Gold service fare includes hearty breakfasts, two course lunches and three course dinners. Vegetarian, children's and limited special dietary meals are available when you make your booking. You may also choose to complement your meal with our selection of wines and beverages, at an additional cost.

A short stroll from your sleeper carriage is the cosy, club-like Outback Explorer Lounge. Often the centre of activity on the journey, the lounge is ideal for socialising with your fellow travellers from around the globe, relaxing, reading or just enjoying the picturesque scenery.

Located close to the CBD in the east Perth area, Hyatt Regency Perth is a 5 star hotel that is close to the Art Gallery of WA, Perth Mint, Port City of Fremantle and the Fremantle Markets not to mention only 20 minutes drive from Perth airport. Facilities include complimentary morning city shuttle, asian flavoured restaurant and two cafés.

In this package we’ve also includes a half day Perth and Fremantle city explorer with a Swan River cruise. Starting in Perth, this tour takes in all the major attractions, beginning with Kings Park Botanical Gardens. Later, continue to Cottesloe Beach before arriving at historic Fremantle. Enjoy a Swan River Cruise back to Perth. On board, relax and absorb the panoramic scenery of Perth as you enjoy a wine tasting while cruising by extravagant waterfront houses of Millionaire's Row.
