Day 1: Saigon
Depart Saigon this afternoon and cruise up the broad Mekong tributary. L D

 

Day 2: Cai Be - Sa Dec
Today enjoy Cai Be's floating market on a junk, visit a French Gothic Cathedral, flower gardens and the museum of the 'The Lover', Marguerite Duras' old house. A fascinating introduction. B L D

Day 3: Tan Chau - Phnom Penh
In a remote small town on the Mekong, visit a catfi sh farm and handicraft workshops before taking a rickshaw ride around the community. From here, head to the Cambodian border for the usual formalities. B L D

Day 4: Phnom Penh
Explore the key sights of Cambodia's capital, including the spectacular Silver Pagoda and National Museum, both embodying the richness of the Khmer culture. B L D

Day 5: Phnom Penh - Kampong Cham
Cruise past the Mekong's timeless villages and river life with extensive fishing activities and genuine village life. The forested hills rise into the distance. B L D

Day 6: Kampong Chau
Travel by bus to the 12th century Angkorian temple of Wat Nokor, a unique, colourful temple with modern monk's quarters set amidst the ancient ruins. Continue to the eco village of Cheungkok with pagodas and shrines peppering the hilltops. B L D

Day 7: Tonle River
Witness the rich tapestry of Cambodian rural life along the Kampong Chang riverbanks. This busy port town offers a stunning variety of birdlife and a bustling market. B L D

Day 8: Tonle River - Siem Reap
Arise for your final morning of the Mekong at your cabin window and cross the great Tonle Sap Lake to disembark at Siem Reap. B
