Clearbrook Wanaka

Wanaka is one of the two main accommodation centres in the Southern Lakes District and is surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain and lake scenery in New Zealand.

From Wanaka you can ski or board at Cardrona and Treble Cone ski areas, plus you can go to Snow Park for their freestyle terrain park. Wanaka also has some of the best heliskiing in NZ.

Self drive travellers can drive to Queenstown (71km) for a day's skiing or a night out. Wanaka was once considered to be NZ's secret and mainly skied by the locals, but word has got out over recent years and this region has matured into one of the best ski destinations in the Southern Hemisphere.

Cardron

Cardron is located in the Crown Range between Queenstown (57km/60mins) and Wanaka (34km/35mins).

It is Queenstown's most reliable ski area with a season that usually runs from late June to early October.

With consistently good weather and reliable snow conditions Cardrona offers superb terrain spread across two main valleys. The front valley is renowned for its wide open, undulating terrain which is perfect for beginners and intermediates. The Captains Basin offers extra challenge for more advanced riders searching for fresh tracks.

Cardrona offers some of the best terrain parks in New Zealand with two half pipes, a gravity cross and a range of beginner freestyle features. Let Cardrona take your breath away with views that stretch all the way from Queenstown to Lake Wanaka.

Treble Cone

Treble Cone is located 35 minutes from Wanaka and can also be accessed from Queenstown (90km) via the Crown Range.

As the South Island's largest ski area and with the longest vertical rise in the Southern Lakes the runs are exhilarating while the views across lakes and mountains are outstanding.

Treble Cone comprises two basins differentiated by aspect and formation. Stacked on top of each other the mountain offers dedicated slopes for beginners, long & wide intermediate groomed trails, plus thrilling runs to challenge even the most accomplished skier & rider.

Offpiste skiing & free-riding is legendary with chutes, bowls, natural half-pipes & terrain features. Renowned for deep Nor'West powder days, Treble Cone's proximity to the Southern Alps & high altitude means reliable natural snow conditions all season.

Clearbrook Apartments

Clearbrook Apartments is an excellent property located just 200m to the town centre with a tranquil garden setting looking out across a crystal clear, trout spawning stream.

Clearbrook has a mix of studio, 1 & 2 bedroom apartments, each with a fully equipped kitchen. All units also have Sky TV, bathroom, hairdryer, washing machine & dryer, central heating and a private balcony or courtyard.

Clearbrook also has two separate three bedroom, two-bathroom townhouses with large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge areas, nestled in their own private gardens. The complex also has good parking, ski storage and a drying room.
