By car

From Sydney CBD, take the M4 to Wallgrove Road in Eastern Creek. Take the Wallgrove Road exit from Western Motorway/M4 and turn right onto Wallgrove Road. Use the right two lanes to turn right onto Great Western Highway/A44. Turn left onto Doonside Road, then turn right to stay on Doonside Road. Turn right onto Kildare Road (go through two roundabouts) and continue for 1.4 km until you reach the zoo on the left-hand side. You can park for free in the main car park or overflow car park.

By public transport

From Sydney CBD, take a train to Blacktown Station on the North Shore and Western line. Walk to bus stand E just outside the station and take the number 729 bus to the park entrance (approximately 10 minutes). Check the Transport NSW website for timetables.

To give yourself enough time to see the entire animal collection, we recommend at least two hours at the park. However, there is plenty to keep you occupied for the entire day including feeding the kangaroos and wallabies, enjoying a leisurely picnic lunch in the shady picnic areas and visiting the gift shop. For an additional fee, you can also enjoy a range of unique and memorable animal encounters with quokkas, penguins, crocodiles and more.
Opening hours are from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm daily, except Christmas Day.
Visitors can spot over 2,000 Australian native animals, from more than 260 different species. The park is also home to the world’s largest assortment of Australian wildlife. Here you will find the largest collection of koalas in NSW, as well as kangaroos, wallabies, dingoes, wombats, echidnas, bilbies, Tasmanian devils, reptiles (snakes, pythons, lizards, monitors, turtles, frogs, spiders), Southern Cassowary, Quolls and an impressive collection of birds from Australia and worldwide.
It is illegal to hold and cuddle a koala in NSW. However, visitors can pat a koala or enjoy a personal koala encounter with photo keepsake for an additional fee.
Yes, refuel at the Featherdale Café which serves hot and cold food and drink options including fresh sandwiches, ice creams, tea, coffee and cold drinks. You can of course bring a picnic and enjoy it at the two shady picnic areas.
Meet the animals from the comfort of your home with Featherdale TV. Go behind the scenes, meet the newborns and get closer to all the action. View the video playlist here >
