Sydney Festival

1 - 30 Jan | Various locations, Sydney

Transforming the city once again with its bold celebration of culture, critical ideas and cutting-edge art and performance, is Sydney Festival. The stellar program of events includes international theatre (Beware of Pity, HOME), raucous nights of music and cabaret (Shànghǎi MiMi, Pigalle), and the return of powerful indigenous program, BLAK OUT. There's also plenty to do see and do for free: from the moon art installations at World Square, Darling Harbour and Barangaroo South, to the return of the beloved Sydney Symphony Under The Stars in Parramatta Park and our Circus Comes To Town weekend in Prince Alfred Square.

Tamworth Country Music Festival

18 - 27 Jan | Peel Street, Tamworth

Australia's largest music festival returns in a showcase of who's who in Australian country music. Running across 10 days, the Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth plays host to more than 700 artists featuring in 2,800 scheduled events across 120 venues. Wander down Peel Street to experience the vibrancy of the buskers and street performers, and be sure visit the Regional Australia Bank Family Zone to check out the new rides and experiences for families of all sizes and all ages.

Australian Open 2019

14 - 27 Jan | Melbourne Park, Melbourne

Watch the world's top tennis players, including Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, contend for the first Grand Slam title of 2019 at the Australian Open. Comprising of men's and women's singles; men's, women's and mixed doubles and junior's championships; as well as wheelchair, legends and exhibition events, this tournament is not to be missed. 

Crush Festival

25 - 27 Jan | Adelaide Hills, Adelaide

A one day celebration in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, Crush Festival will take you on a journey of the senses. Indulge in wine tastings, degustation menus, music art installations, markets and more. Past events have included a Parisian picnic, costume-themed wine tastings and a golf challenge.

Tunarama Festival

24 - 27 Jan | Port Lincoln, Eyre Peninsula

Best known for its Tuna Toss competition, the 58th Tunarama Festival is a four-day celebration of the lifeblood of the Port Lincoln community in South Australia – the tuna industry. And with a number of participation events, arts and cultural displays, fresh seafood, local market stalls, and performances from local and regional artists, there's something for everyone.

Mona Foma

13 - 22 Jan | Launceston, Tasmania

Taking over the Jewel of the North, this year's Mona Foma, run by Hobart’s Museum of Old and New Art, has a new home in Launceston. The event features some truly word-class music performers, including Underworld, Neneh Cherry, Courtney Barnett, Oneohtrix Point Never and more among the line-up, as well as a formidable dance and art program.

Street Machine Summernats Car Festival

4 - 7 Jan | Exhibition Park, Canberra

Created by renowned revhead Chic Henry in 1988, the Summernats has taken on a life of its own, becoming a genuine Aussie icon. See more than 2,500 of Australia's toughest modified cars descend on Exhibition Park in Canberra for four-days of high octane extreme auto action. Highlights includes Australia’s top street machine judging competition, the world’s biggest and best burnout battle, two nights of massive concerts, horsepower heroics, and more.

Brisbane International

30 Dec 2018- 6 Jan 2019 | Tennyson, Brisbane Area

The Brisbane International will see tennis superstars and fans from around the world converge in the riverside suburb of Tennyson, where reigning champs Karolina Pliskova, Girgor Dimitrov and Naomi Osaka will be back to defend their titles. 

Kids Summer Fest 2019

4 - 9 Jan | Elizabeth Quay, Perth

Taking place under heaps of shade and a festive big top down by the river at Elizabeth Quay is Kids Summer Fest, an event the whole family can enjoy.
