Current fuel prices and prediction
- The average price for regular unleaded fuel in Sydney is 216.9 cents per litre (Monday evening).
- Average regular unleaded prices fell 4.7 cents per litre this past week, falling from top of cycle and is expected to fall to the low 190s over the next 3-4 weeks.
- The average diesel price in Sydney is 202.5 cents per litre.
- Regional prices: Last week average prices for regular unleaded rose 0.8 cents per litre and diesel prices rose 0.1 cents per litre.
World Crude Oil Prices
Over the previous week the average:
- Tapis crude fell $US 1.8 per barrel to $US 90.9 per barrel.
- Mogas (unleaded price benchmark) fell US 0.1 per barrel to $US 107.1 per barrel.
- Gasoil (diesel price benchmark) fell $US 4.2 per barrel to $US 104.2 per barrel.
Sydney Wholesale Prices
Over the previous week the average:
- Regular unleaded fuel rose 2.6 cents per litre to 189.9 cents per litre.
- Diesel fuel fell 1.3 cents per litre to 187.1 cents per litre.
Sydney Diesel Prices
Sydney diesel prices fell 0.1 cents per litre last week. Current average diesel price is 202.5 cents per litre.
Looking Ahead
Average regular unleaded prices fell 4.7 cents per litre this past week, falling from top of cycle and is expected to fall to the low 190s over the next 3-4 weeks.
Average regular unleaded prices in Sydney should range between 223 cents per litre (at the high point of the current cycle) and 192 cents per litre (at the low point of the cycle).
The average price ranges for E10, Premium 95 and Premium 98 should be as follows:
- E10 – a high point of 222 cents per litre and a high point of 191 cents per litre.
- Premium 95 – a high point of 242 cents per litre and a low point of 211 cents per litre.
- Premium 98 – a high point of 246 cents per litre and a low point of 215 cents per litre.
Sydney's current average diesel price is 202.5 cents per litre – down 0.1 cents per litre this past week.
The current average LPG price in Sydney is 102.6 cents per litre –stable this past week.
