  • Sydney: Average regular unleaded price is 154.8 cpl.
  • Regional NSW: Unleaded prices rose 0.7 cpl, while diesel prices increased 0.2 cpl this past week.

    • World Crude Oil Prices
    Over the previous week:

  • The average crude oil price rose 3.5 cents per litre; and
  • Sydney's terminal gate price for regular unleaded increased 1.7 cents per litre to 138.2 cents per litre.

    • Sydney prices
    Sydney’s last price cycle lasted 28 days, same duration as the previous cycle. Today is day 13 of the current price cycle, with the average price for regular unleaded fuel in Sydney at 146.8 cents per litre (Monday morning).

    Looking ahead
    Over the past week, the average Mogas price rose 2.1 cent per litre with the Australian dollar falling 1.6 cents to 70.3 cents against the US dollar. Given current market forces, average unleaded petrol prices are expected to fall to 139 cents per litre over the next 1-2 weeks.

    Average regular unleaded prices in Sydney should range between 139 cents per litre (at the low point of the current cycle) and 156 cents per litre (at the high point of the new cycle).

    The average price ranges for E10, Premium 95 and Premium 98 should be as follows*:

    E10 - a low point of 137 cents per litre and a high point of 154 cents per litre.
    Premium 95 - a low point of 153 cents per litre and a high point of 172 cents per litre.
    Premium 98 - a low point of 159 cents per litre and a high point of 178 cents per litre.

    Sydney’s current average diesel price is 148.9 cents per litre – up 0.1 cents per litre this past week.

    The current average LPG price in Sydney is 78.9 cents per litre – stable this past week.
