Day 1: Adelaide, Port Augusta
On arrival at Adelaide, you will be met by your Driver/Guide. Board your custom-designed 4WD vehicle and travel north to Port Augusta. This bustling town is the gateway to your outback experience. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure before dinner tonight. (D)

Day 2: Port Augusta, Marree
This morning, take a journey back in time at the Wadlata Outback Centre for an insight into the history of the South Australian Outback, before journeying to the historic railway town of Quorn. Continue to the intriguing ruins of Kanyaka Station – a former sheep station that dates back to 1851. Afterwards, drop in to the Prairie Hotel in Parachilna. (B,D)

Day 3: Lake Eyre
Today is sure to be a true highlight as you board an included scenic flight from the Marree airstrip over Lake Eyre, taking in views of this rate natural event of Lake Eyre full with water. Upon your return to Marree, enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch at the Marree Hotel, before taking a 4WD sightseeing tour, passing through Muloorina Station, to the edge of Lake Eyre's stunning shoreline, where you'll see the spectacular array of wildlife that flocks here each time the lake floods. When it does flood it becomes the largest lake in Australia. In the past 150 years Lake Eyre has only filled to capacity three times.
Additional choice: You may wish to replace your touring on this day with a FULL-DAY scenic flight to Lake Eyre, continuing to the famous Birdsville Hotel for lunch (additional costs see booking code LE06B)
Day 4: Parachilna Gorge, Wilpena Pound
After a visit to the beautiful Parachilna Gorge, stop in for lunch at the Blinman Hotel (own expense). Blinman is an old mining town dating back to 1859 when copper was discovered in the region. Then continue to Wilpena Pound. This ancient rocky outcrop is home to kangaroos, emus, echidnas, parrots and gallahs, as well as a vast array of striking plant life. Settle into your accommodation amid stunning natural surrounds. (B,D)

Day 5: Wilpena Pound
This morning enjoy a scenic drive through the Bunyeroo Valley. Then visit spectacular Brachina Gorge, an important refuge for the yellow-footed rock wallaby as well as many species of birds and reptiles. With the afternoon yours to spend at leisure, perhaps take a walk into Wilpena Pound, a natural amphitheatre of mountains in the Flinders Ranges, or take a scenic flight over the beautiful area (own expense). Day 6: Wilpena, Adelaide
After breakfast, set out along the picturesque Moralana Scenic Route. Travel via the picturesque towns of Hawker, Wilmington and Melrose before stopping for lunch at Clare (own expense). Take the opportunity to visit a local winery or browse through the town. Then continue to Adelaide Airport, where your tour concludes on arrival at approximately 5.30 pm.(B)
