I need immediate roadside assistance. What do I do?

Phone 13 11 22 and the operator will ask you information including:

  • Your NRMA membership number and/or registration number - if you are not a member, an On-Road Join and Go fee applies.
  • Your exact location:
    • What street/road are you on?
    • What is the nearest cross street/road?
    • What is the number of the house/building?
    • Are there any landmarks? (e.g. signage)
    • What direction you were travelling?
    • The make, model and colour of your vehicle.
    • Your contact phone number (e.g. mobile or house/office).
    • The nature of your problem (e.g. mechanical, flat tyre, flat battery, etc).
    • Whether you are in a remote area or concerned for your safety.

    If you're unable to call 13 11 22 and speak directly to an operator, you can make contact:

    • By using the National Relay Service to place your call
I joined NRMA one hour ago and then broke down. Can I get roadside assistance?
NRMA roadside assistance is available 48 hours after you join. So if you require immediate roadside assistance, upon joining or later the same day, an On-Road Join and Go fee will apply.
Can any driver access roadside assistance in my vehicle?
Yes, we will provide roadside assistance to the nominated vehicle on your membership as long as a licensed driver is present with the nominated vehicle or at an agreed meeting place when we arrive. General roadside assistance exclusions apply.
*Offer is 12 months free Roadside assistance subscription for non-NRMA Members who are part of the Ambassador program by invitation only. No payment is required at this time of sign-up and valid for Everyday Care or Complete Care or Ultimate Care on annual package only. One package per non-member.

After 12 months, reverts to full price. Total minimum cost for Everyday Care is $137; Complete Care is $238; Ultimate Care is $299. The option to renewal is at the discretion of the member.

Valid from 25 August to 30 November 2026.

NRMA reserves the right to terminate the offer at an earlier date and at its discretion. Not available for existing Members with an active subscription or is due for renewal during or prior to the promotional period. Not valid for My NRMA or “Join on Road” roadside assistance products or in conjunction with any other offer.
