At the NRMA, six Directors (of a maximum nine in total) are elected by Ordinary Members. One Director is elected for each of the six regions. The elections are held on rotation, with elections held for three regions every two years. Eligible Ordinary Members are allocated to a region based on where they live and may cast their vote for a candidate in that region. With elected Directors holding office for four years, this means that Ordinary Members vote in the election for their region once every four years.
Although elected by the Ordinary Members living in a region, each elected NRMA Director has a duty to act in good faith and in the best interests of NRMA and its members as a whole.
This year an election is being held for the regions of Cox, Harbour and Howe.
As there is more than one candidate in the region of Harbour, an election will be held for that region. To check if you live in the region of Harbour, please refer to the information on ‘Regions’ below.
Members who live in the region of Harbour are encouraged to vote for the candidate they consider has the skills, experience and knowledge to be an NRMA Director.
The names of the candidates listed below are in the order in which they will appear on the ballot.
The candidates standing for election as a Director of the NRMA Board for the region of Harbour are:

The NRMA is a public company limited by guarantee, owned by its members, which means it reinvests its profits for the benefit of those members. It is one of the largest member-owned mutual organisations in Australia with more than 3.3 million members. For over 105 years, the NRMA has been there to keep Australians moving - a common purpose that remains to this day. It's this dedication that now drives the NRMA beyond roadside assistance to grow its transport, tourism and rewards offering for members.
For the financial year ended 30 June 2024, we had over 1.49 million calls for roadside assistance, a network of 85 electric vehicle fast chargers, operated Australia-wide 58 holiday parks and over 176 SIXT vehicle rental locations, had 456,000 guests who stayed 1.7 million nights at the parks, resorts and lodges, operated the Manly to Circular Quay commuter fast ferry service and tourism cruises on Sydney Harbour, Gordon River and through remote parts of Australia, and over 3,000 full time equivalent employees. The candidate elected as Director of the NRMA for each region will be responsible, collectively with the other Board members, for providing strategic direction and oversight of the NRMA's diverse and complex operating businesses. As well as maintaining business performance, relevance to members and keeping staff, members, customers and the public safe, a Director of the NRMA needs to have the skills and experience to provide strategic direction and oversight for a significant public company.
As only one person has been confirmed as being eligible to stand as a candidate in the regions of Cox and Howe, no election will take place in those regions. In accordance with the NRMA Constitution, the sole candidate in each of these regions is taken to be re-elected as a Director with effect from Saturday, 6 December 2025. To see if you live in one of these regions please refer to the information on ‘Regions’ below.
