A record 28,292 votes have been cast across NSW in NRMA’s Rate Your Roads survey with more than 934 votes cast for roads in Dubbo.

Voting commenced in December last year and the results are being rolled out across the state in the lead-up to the NSW election later this month. Local roads identified were:

Street Name Suburb Reason AVG Scores TOTAL Votes
1 Golden Highway Dubbo Safety and Condition 41 164
 2 Cobbora Road Dubbo Condition 41 102
 3 Wheelers Lane Dubbo Condition 37 53
 4 Mitchell Highway Dubbo Condition 45 51
 5 Obley Road Dubbo Safety 43 36

In Dubbo, the Mitchell Highway at Wongarbon, Wilfred Smith Drive and Dunedoo Road received votes for better performance.

NRMA spokesperson, Katrina Usman, thanked the community for helping to again break the record on the number of votes for its Rate Your Road survey and highlighted that the invaluable data would help the organisation fight for better community outcomes over the next four years.

“The NRMA today thanks Dubbo for having its say on what is a critical issue facing our nation and joined a grass roots campaign to make our roads safer and more efficient,” Ms Usman said.

“We know a number of local roads that featured in this survey have received funding commitments from Government and this is welcomed.

“The NRMA will spend the next four years ensuring this data helps drive sensible funding and policy outcomes across all levels of Government.

“We know this community-led advocacy works – some of the state’s worst roads no longer make the list because Governments have responded by investing in solutions. This has helped save lives, boosted our economy and got our Members home to their families faster.”
