Royal National Park

The world's second oldest national park, and right on Sydney's doorstep, the Royal National Park is well-known for whale watching and many opportunities for bushwalking and fishing with friends.

Cape Byron State Conservation Area

If you're looking for spine-tingling views, visit Australia's most easterly point at Cape Byron Lighthouse in Cape Byron State Conservation Area at Byron Bay. It's the perfect spot for a weekend getaway.

View from a lighthouse, looking down at a concrete base with tourists, a road and white sand and forested coastline far below.

Munmorah State Conservation Area

Bushwalking, camping, fishing, surfing and swimming are just some of the many activities you can enjoy at Munmorah State Conservation Area on the Central Coast. There's striking beaches, beautiful picnic and camping spots, first-class fishing and spectacular views are just a taste of what is on offer.

Morton National Park

For an adventure closer to Sydney, take a day trip to the Southern Highlands to enjoy the walks and waterfall views at Fitzroy Falls.

A sunlit waterfall pours over flat faced cliffs topped with trees ahead of a vast, forested canyon curving into the distance.

Kosciuszko National Park

You'll be spoilt for choice at the largest park in NSW, Kosciuszko National Park, in the Snowy Mountains. Explore the caves, mountain bike or even climb Australia's highest mountain.

Patches of snow dotting green and yellow grassy and rocky hills that lead to a valley and mountain range in the distance.
