Ahead of the launch of its brand-new Ford Ranger Super Duty in 2026, Ford Australia has announced a raft of updates to its Ford Ranger and Ford Everest lineups for MY26.5.
The headline addition is a broader range of models sporting Ford’s 184kW/600Nm V6 turbo diesel engine, including the 4x4 Ranger XL and the new Everest Active.
A 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine (125kW/405Nm) remains in all 4x2 Ranger models as well as a number of 4x4 XL single, super and double cab-chassis models.
Only two of the six Ford Everest models will now be sold with a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder (one Active and one Sport), with the remainder treated to the V6 as well.
Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission will become standard on all Rangers and Everests, replacing the old six-speed unit still in service on lower-spec editions.
“We’re putting more of the performance and refinement customers love within their reach,” said Michael Ferguson, Ranger and Everest product marketing manager for Ford Australia.
Ford will start taking orders for the MY26.5 Ranger and Everest from December, with first deliveries expected mid-2026.

Beyond the bonnet, the Ranger has been spruced up for MY26.5 with a 12-inch infotainment screen, reversing camera, and safety aids including reverse parking sensors and reverse braking assistance on all models.
The Ranger XLT, Wildtrak and Platinum grades have also been treated to cosmetic makeovers, with gloss and matt black finishes replacing chrome in key areas, new wheels designs, and “bolder” lines.
The Ranger Black Edition joins the line-up permanently (available with either of the turbo diesel engines), while the Ranger Sport is being phased out altogether and the Ranger XLS is available in a single trim – a double cab-chassis with the V6 engine.
An all-new limited-edition nameplate, Wolftrak, will retail for $70,990 before on-road costs, slotting in just below the Ranger Tremor, which will also be offered for a limited time at $75,090 before on-roads.
The Wolftrak will feature unique Traction Green paint, distinctive Zest accents on the nostrils and 17-inch Asphalt Black wheels.
Sitting atop the regular Ranger model list are the Wildtrak ($75,090) and Platinum ($80,890), while the performance petrol V6 Raptor remains the halo model, offered from a bank-balance-busting $90,690.

The Ford Everest nomenclature and spec levels have been revised substantially for MY26.5, with the Ambiente and Trend nameplates retired and replaced with the abovementioned Active model.
Available with either the 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder or 3.0-litre V6 engine, the Active starts at $58,990 (about $4000 more than the MY25.5 entry-level Ambiente but similarly priced to the MY26) and includes as standard leather-accented seats, a 12-inch infotainment system, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps and privacy glass. The Active comes as a five-seater, while seven seats are a $1350 optional extra.
“The Everest has become a favourite of adventure-ready families around the country,” said Ambrose Henderson, marketing director for Ford Australia. “We’ve listened to those customers and added more equipment as standard to our entry model, the Everest Active.”
The next step up is the Everest Sport (also available with the 2.0-litre four or V6) starting at $68,990 before on roads. A 360-degree camera and tyre pressure monitoring system are now standard kit on the Sport.
Any colour other than white will cost $750 ($975 if the model chosen incurs the luxury car tax). Equinox Bronze has been discontinued, and in its place are Acacia Green and the pearlescent Alabaster White.
A towing pack (including an integrated trailer brake controller and Ford’s Pro Trailer Backup Assist) is available for $2000 on the Active and $2500 on the Sport, Tremor and Platinum.
