Service Overview: The EV Battery Health Check Test (“the Service”) is provided by The NRMA to assess the condition of your electric vehicle's (EV) battery. The Service is available within Sydney Metropolitan and Canberra, conducted by a trained NRMA Roadside Assistance Patrol at the customer's nominated location.
Booking and Confirmation: Bookings must be made via The NRMA website and are subject to a minimum of 48 hours' notice. Once a booking is received, The NRMA will confirm the appointment via SMS. Appointments are available on weekdays between 8:00am and 4:00pm, excluding public holidays.
Service Eligibility and Vehicle Compatibility: The Service is only available for EV makes and models that are compatible with our testing equipment. The NRMA will assess compatibility based on the information you provide at the time of booking. If your vehicle is deemed incompatible, The NRMA will notify you prior to the appointment and you will not be charged.
Fees and Payment: The cost of the Service is:
$150 for NRMA members
$200 for non-members
Payment is made on completion of the test and must be settled directly with the attending Patrol using approved payment methods.
Cancellations and Rescheduling: Please email [email protected] if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Access and Safety Requirements: You must ensure that the vehicle is safely and legally parked in an accessible location for the Patrol to conduct the test. The NRMA reserves the right to refuse or postpone service if conditions at the location pose a safety risk.
Results and Limitations: The battery health report provided reflects the condition of the EV battery at the time of testing. It does not constitute a warranty or guarantee of future performance, nor does it replace professional diagnostics by a manufacturer-authorised service centre.
Liability: The NRMA accepts no liability for any damage or consequential loss arising from the results of the battery test or from any issues pre-existing with the vehicle. The Service does not involve any mechanical or intrusive inspection of the battery system.
Data Usage and Privacy: By booking the Service, you consent to The NRMA collecting and using your personal and vehicle data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms: The NRMA reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting to The NRMA website.
