As the air turns crisp and layers come back out of the wardrobe, autumn menus begin to shift. Light summer salads give way to warming bowls, slow-cooked flavours and comforting spices.
Once a term mostly found in wellness circles, “fibre-maxxing” has made its way into everyday dining and restaurants are responding.
Think legumes, whole grains, vegetables, seeds and gut-friendly ingredients, with flavours that still pack a punch.
Rich in lentils, Indian food is great for these fiber goals with the bonus layer of spice and comfort. Enjoy up to 25% off the total bill at multiple Chilli India locations.
Mexican is another great option for this and My NRMA Members can get 25% off the bill at La Cabra Mexican, Zambrero, Burrito Bar, and more!

On the sweeter side of the season, pumpkin spice has returned but with a slightly more grown-up edge.
While the classic pumpkin spice latte still draws queues as soon as the temperature drops, cafés and restaurants are expanding the flavour profile beyond coffee.
Bakeries are embracing the spice mix in loaves, muffins and frosted cupcakes. Dessert menus are featuring pumpkin spice cheesecakes, tiramisu twists and doughnuts dusted with autumnal warmth.
Restaurants are also incorporating pumpkin into savoury dishes. Think pumpkin ravioli with sage butter, roasted pumpkin pizzas with whipped ricotta, or pumpkin soups finished with a swirl of spiced yoghurt. The spice blend is being used more subtly, enhancing rather than overpowering.

While some of these may not be sanctioned, why not celebrate? With delicious, discounted food and snacks!
