Following a lengthy stint as an entertainment journalist, Kris Ashton joined Open Road in 2008 and has written about motoring and travel ever since. When he’s not testing cars or exploring our nation’s highways and byways, you’ll likely find him in the gym, on the squash court, or wasting valuable time on social media. Kris is also an award-winning essayist and author, specialising in tales of dark speculative fiction. He lives in the wilds of south-western Sydney with his wife, two kids and a gnawing sense of inadequacy.
