Cupra Australia has confirmed it will receive some allocation of a 4000-unit global production run of the new 2026 Formentor V25.
Exact pricing and just how many examples of the limited-run model will head Down Under remains unconfirmed, though expect pricing north of $90,000 given where comparable models sit within the Volkswagen Auto Group’s stable.
Powered by the same 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine as found in the Audi RS3 and RSQ3, the 2026 Formentor V25 will score 287kW and 480Nm of grunt. Drive is sent to all corners through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with torque vectoring functionality.
Unsurprisingly, with characteristics like this, the V25 will assume flagship position in the Formentor line-up.
Matching its performance mantra, the 2026 Cupra Formentor V25 is dressed with the brand’s signature copper accenting on its 20-inch alloy wheels, exhaust tips and badging.
Wider wheel arches and aggressive bumper design complete the look outside, with CUPBucket sports seats keeping drivers and passengers fastened up front.
The 2026 Formentor V25 will be available in four exterior colours, including Century Bronze Matte, Dark Void, Encledus Grey Matte (pictured), Magnetic Teche Matte and Midnight Black.
Expect Australian deliveries to commence in mid- to late-2026, with the Spanish brand confirming Barcelona-based production of the model will start during Q1 2026.
The Formentor V25 will join the rest of the mid-generation-updated Formentor, expected to land in Australia in Q1 2026 as well.
