A unique turtle encounter

Mon Repos Beach is home to Australia’s largest concentration of nesting turtles. From October to April each year, mother nature comes alive where each night after dark, marine turtles make the journey ashore to nest. Several weeks later, their hatchlings emerge and create a spectacular phenomenon.

Mon Repos is one of the only places on the mainland of Australia that you can witness this bucket list experience. Nightly turtle tours operate from the Mon Repos Turtle Centre, adjacent to Turtle Sands, from November to March.
